About this site
This is the course website for the Winter 2009 UCSD course BIPN150: Diseases of the Nervous System. Access to the site is restricted to students enrolled in the course.
Site layout
The main page of the site displays the most recent posts. These will include course materials (reading materials, lecture slides, etc.) as well as announcements and updates. These posts will be categorized as: Announcements, Discussion Section, Exam Materials, Lecture Readings, and/or Lecture Slides. All posts in a given category can be viewed by selecting the appropriate link in the right-hand column.
Files
ALL files uploaded to this site will be password protected. All course content (e.g. lecture slides, reading materials, etc.) is to be used solely for this course, and may not be distributed or uploaded elsewhere. For access, the username is “student” and the password is “bipn150“.
Comments
“Will there be a discussion section this Monday, even though it’s a holiday?”
“How are extra copies of SMN2 protective?”
And the ever popular:
“Is this going to be on the midterm?”
Every post on the site can be commented on. Use this as a forum for asking questions about the course or the course content. The TA will respond to all questions posted in the comments sections.
Syndication
For those familiar with RSS and/or Twitter, at the top right corner of the site are links (“Subscribe,” and “Twitter”) to syndicate all course updates. For those unfamiliar with either, they are basically tools to notify you when content is changed or updated, so that you don’t have to check the site a million times a day, hoping the lecture slides have finally been posted.
